Matteo Floris is an Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the Department of Medical Sciences and Public Health, University of Cagliari, Italy, and carries out his clinical and research activities at the Medical Genetics Unit, P.O. Binaghi, Cagliari. His research focuses on human genetics, computational genomics, bioinformatics, and pharmacogenetics, with particular interests in genome-wide association studies, complex diseases, and precision medicine. He has extensive experience in the analysis of large-scale genomic datasets and in the development and application of computational approaches for biomedical research, gained through collaborations with national and international research institutions. He is the National Coordinator of the Pharmacogenetics Working Group of the Italian Society of Human Genetics (SIGU). He is co-author of numerous scientific publications and leads research projects in genomics and pharmacogenetics
